HVAC Installation Warranty

Every HVAC install we do is backed by 10 years on parts (manufacturer warranty, registered for you within 90 days of install) and 2 years on labor (our coverage). Plain English, written terms, no fine-print games.

What's Covered

10-Year Parts (Manufacturer)

Carrier and Airquest residential equipment installed by Hoosier Daddy comes with a 10-year limited parts warranty from the manufacturer. This covers compressors, heat exchangers, control boards, blowers, valves, and all functional components.

We register your equipment for you within 90 days of install. Skipping registration drops the warranty to 5 years. We don't let that happen.

2-Year Labor (Hoosier Daddy)

If a warranty-covered part fails within 2 years of install, we replace the part and cover the labor. No diagnostic fee, no trip charge, no "after-hours" surcharge. We installed it; we stand behind it.

10-Year Labor (Squadron Plan)

Squadron Plan members ($189/yr) get labor coverage extended to 10 years as long as the plan stays current. Same coverage as labor warranty year 1-2, automatically renewing.

What's NOT Covered (Honest Version)

Every warranty has limits. Here's ours in plain English instead of legalese:

How to Keep Your Warranty Valid

  1. Annual maintenance. Manufacturer requires documented annual professional service. Skipping this can void parts warranty. Squadron Plan covers this automatically.
  2. Change filters every 90 days. The single most common reason for premature equipment failure. We'll check yours at every visit.
  3. Don't have unlicensed contractors service the equipment. Repairs by unauthorized personnel can void parts coverage. If you need work done and we can't get there fast enough, call us first — we'll help direct you to another licensed contractor whose work won't void your warranty.
  4. Keep your records. We email a service summary after every visit. Save them — they're proof of compliance with manufacturer requirements if a major claim comes up.

If Something Fails Under Warranty

  1. Call (765) 894-0047 — describe the symptoms.
  2. We come out, diagnose, and confirm warranty applicability.
  3. If covered: we order the part (manufacturer parts ship same- or next-business-day). We install it. No invoice for the covered repair within the 2-year labor window (or 10 years on Squadron Plan).
  4. If partially covered (e.g., part covered but labor outside window): we'll show you the math — covered portion vs your portion — in writing before any work.

Selling Your House?

Carrier and Airquest manufacturer parts warranties are transferable to a new homeowner within 90 days of the sale, one time. There's a small administrative fee paid to the manufacturer. We'll walk the new owner through the process at closing — adds resale value, signals well-maintained equipment.

Squadron Plan does not transfer (it's tied to the original purchaser), but the new owner can sign up for their own plan at any time.
