HVAC Troubleshooting Guides

Try these fixes before calling a tech. Most are free and take under 5 minutes. If these don't work, we're here to help.

When to Call a Professional

Some problems need a trained technician. Call us immediately if you notice any of these:

Gas Smell

If you smell gas, leave immediately and call your gas company. This is an emergency.

Electrical Sparks

Sparking, burning electrical smell, or tripped breakers that keep tripping need a pro.

Carbon Monoxide Alarm

If your CO detector goes off, evacuate and call 911. Don't re-enter until cleared.

Prevent Problems Before They Start

Change Filters

Every 1-3 months. Dirty filters cause most HVAC problems.

Schedule Tune-Ups

Twice a year catches problems early and keeps your system efficient.

Clear Vents

Keep furniture and curtains away from supply and return vents.

Clean Outside Unit

Remove leaves, debris, and keep 2 feet of clearance around the unit.
